Tamiya Decoration Series Baking Master Collection

I know of the Tamiya brand because of my husband who builds miniature cars and was always talking about how good their products are. Recently searching trough the web I discovered they launched a series for miniature sweets where they have all kinds of realistic fake deco sauces, frosting, toppings and even air dry clay. I was fascinated with the idea of getting my work done faster with these ready to use formulas! I wanted to buy some of these products so badly but couldn't find where to buy in the states, only amazon, who charge about $18.00 for a 20ml bottle + shipping... Seriously? The other option left was purchasing from International buyers, pay a lot for shipping, wait 4 weeks or even more without a tracking number and no guarantee that the packages won't get lost! Does this sounds familiar? Well now they are available in my shop! :)

I have used some of them and let me tell you...they are amazing!
Easy to use, It dries fast and has a beautiful glossy finished when dry. The package comes with instructions in Japanese and English with super cute illustrations. I was extremely excited when I got them!

The sauces and toppings are suitable for both air dry clay and polymer clay projects. For polymer clay users - your item has to be baked before applying.

Miniature Cosmic Brownies!

I love to receive custom orders. Specially when customers send me pictures of the item they want to replicate. It's challenging and fun! This time I received a custom order for cosmic brownies. The customer wanted a necklace and I took the liberty to create some studs earrings too. Here are some pictures of the finished pieces which Im planing to include in my shop very soon! Hope you like them :)

I ♥ Macarons!

Hello everyone! :)

Lately I've been craving for some macarons, especially the pistachio ones and after feeling guilty for eating the whole package by myself ( myself!) I decided to start satisfying my hunger with creativity so I made tiny macarons with polymer clay to turn them into stud earrings!

I love macarons! They're simply delicious :)
All of these lovely pieces are available in my Etsy shop following this link:

Cute Treats is back!

It's been a while since my last post! There's a lot of things in life we can't control... My shop was closed from November 2012 to February 2013 and I have to say that I missed working with my hands and letting my creativity flow. Throughout that time a lot happened in my life and I'm happy to say that I'm back :)

I moved from my beloved Puerto Rico leaving everything behind (by everything I mean my apartment in Old San Juan, my super job, my friends, family and my niece which I love like she was my own daughter :( - EVERYTHING!) to try something new with my fiance who also left everything behind. Life doesn't always go our way. You just have to be ready to live day by day. So here I am in Florida, very similar to PR but completely different. I love the weather, the people and most of all, the sunsets :)

This is a new era for Cute Treats; an adventure. I'm so happy to be back on track. Happy to be doing what I love. So here I leave you with some of my new pieces. Hope you enjoy and as always I would like to hear your feedback :)
